Ingredients:
- Unsalted Butter 140g
- Powdered Sugar 45g
- Flour 210g
- Matcha Powder 30g
- Roasted Sliced Almond 30g
- Powdered Milk 10g (Optional)
Instruction:
- Soften butter at room temperature
- Add powdered sugar then beat butter until creamy
- Add flour through a sifter into the butter gradually and keep beating after each addition
- Add Matcha powder and sliced almond, then mix with dough
- Knead the dough gently to get rid of excess air in the dough
- Wrap the dough with the plastic wrap
- Shape the dough into a stick shape
- Freeze the dough for 1 hr
- Cut the dough into 1/4 inch thick pieces
- Preheat the oven to 330F
- Bake the shortbread for 20 mins at 330F
- Cool down the shortbreads, they will become harder
- Enjoy!
Note:
The matcha powder which is grinded green tea has bitterness taste. May add more sugar to make it taste better.
